Scope 1 & 2 GHG emissions

Last year, we began the calculation of our Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions, since these are important factors in a sustainable strategy. Through a concerted global effort, we were able to collect data on all worldwide emissions of Lawter plants from 2017 to 2023, together with auditable proof. Currently, we’re looking to set a global reduction target at each site.

Our product carbon footprint data & life cycle assessments

Lawter was among the first to provide product carbon footprint data to customers. We developed a tool with a university with recognized expertise in the area to assess the carbon footprint of products for Europe and North America. We share the report with customers and help them achieve their emission reduction goals.

However, since all sustainability aspects are increasingly important, more and more customers now request a full life cycle assessment. That requires more data, resources, and time to calculate. That’s why we are working on a partnership to realize this type of calculation for key products.
