Formulated hydrocarbon resin dispersion
Description
SNOWTACK™ 881G is a solvent free, water-borne tackifier dispersion.
The resin component is a blend of high quality stabilized rosin ester and non-rosin types designed to provide superior adhesive performance to a wide range of substrates. The dispersion is alkylphenol ethoxylate (APE) free and has a fine particle size with a narrow distribution curve.
The solids specification is 54% to 60%. However, there are regional preferences. It is typical for EMEA to have 59% solids (range 58% to 60%). Whilst for the Asia Pacific region, the solids are typically 55% (range 54% to 56%). Careful processing maintains other parameters, such as viscosity, globally.
SNOWTACK™ 881G is a tackifier dispersion for formulating into water based adhesives to boost peel and tack properties, particularly to low energy surfaces. Primary application is for pressure sensitive adhesives for label and tape applications. This includes paper and filmic labels, and construction, automotive and specialty tapes. SNOWTACK™ 881G is compatible with a range of polymers including acrylics, SBR and natural rubber.

SNOWTACK™ 881G can be available in IBCs or tank wagon.
Shelf life is typically 9 months from the date of production. The product should be stored at between 5°C and 35°C and avoid
freezing and direct sunlight. Product should be kept sealed to avoid risk of bacteria or fungal contamination from the air.
