Hydroxyl Functional Polyester Resin Solution
REACTOL™ 1970 A is a Lawter™ polyester resin solution of REACTOL™ 1979 A in ethyl acetate. The resin in REACTOL™ 1970 A, is a low molecular weight hydroxyl functional polyester. REACTOL™ 1970 A exhibits exceptional gloss in overprints and pigmented inks. It offers good adhesion and flexibility, and low viscosity and good pigment wetting characteristics.
REACTOL™ 1970 A is compatible with nitrocellulose and cellulose esters. It can be cross-linked with melamine to form a glossy, thermoset coating with outstanding color retention.

Shelf life from date of production is approximately 12 months. The resin should be stored at temperatures under 30°C (86°F).
If the resin is stored improperly or for a longer period of time, an increase in viscosity and cloud point is possible.
