Polyketone Resin
REACTOL™ 1717 is a pale colored, alcohol soluble, aldehyde-ketone resin with a broad range of compatibility. REACTOL™ 1717 is designed to have a high degree of polarity. This unique chemistry significantly improves adhesion, pigment wetting and gloss.
Inks and coatings utilizing REACTOL™ 1717 show improved inner-coat adhesion, ideal for base primers or coatings. Being low in viscosity, this resin permits the formulation of high solids, coatings and the reduction of high viscosity polymers. Typical usage levels range from 3% to 15% of the total formulation .

REACTOL™ 1717 is shipped in 25 kg paper bags.
Shelf life from date of production is approximately 12 months. The resin should be stored at temperatures under 30°C (86°F).
If the resin is stored improperly or for a longer period of time, an increase in viscosity and cloud point is possible.
