Bio-based polyol

Lawter has recently introduced PINE-POL™, a line of polyols specifically formulated to meet today’s needs and tomorrow’s challenges in polyurethanes. These innovative biopolyols are based on a non-food competitive feedstock, obtained from a by-product of the paper-making process and impart unique performance and ease of processing to polyurethane foams. Compared to other bio-based polyols, PINE-POL™ polyols do not produce an unpleasant odor in the final product and are miscible with a wide range of chemistries including aromatic polyester, aliphatic polyester, and polyether polyols. Importantly, each batch of PINE-POL has a constant bio-renewable content, which has been confirmed via C14 analysis by a certified external party.

RIGID FOAM

The PINE-POL™ B-series also takes advantage of the rigid properties that pine chemicals impart.  These polyols have been formulated to emphasize the reactivity and viscosity properties that are required for efficient spray foam insulation, pour in place, appliance, and other applications that require foam with mechanical properties and fast curing speeds.
