PINE-POL™ A220
Bio-based polyol
Lawter has recently introduced PINE-POL™, a line of polyols specifically formulated to meet today’s needs and tomorrow’s challenges in polyurethanes. These innovative biopolyols are based on a non-food competitive feedstock, obtained from a by-product of the paper-making process and impart unique performance and ease of processing to polyurethane foams. Compared to other bio-based polyols, PINE-POL™ polyols do not produce an unpleasant odor in the final product and are miscible with a wide range of chemistries including aromatic polyester, aliphatic polyester, and polyether polyols. Importantly, each batch of PINE-POL has a constant bio-renewable content, which has been confirmed via C14 analysis by a certified external party.
RIGID FOAM
PINE-POL™ A220 was developed because, unlike other biobased polyols, pine chemistry can be used to generate rigid properties. PINE-POL™ A220 was created for use in polyiso foams that are primarily used as insulation in commercial or residential construction applications.
