Fumaric Modified Rosin Ester
FILTREZ™ 530 is an alcohol soluble fumaric acid modified rosin ester with a high softening point and high acid value. FILTREZ™ 530 has good solubility and low viscosity in alcohol and aqueous ammonia solutions, which contributes to high gloss in overprint varnishes. This resin is commonly used in solvent and water-based gravure and flexographic inks.
FILTREZ™ 530 can also be used as a leveling and gloss-promoting agent in floor polishes.

FILTREZ™ 530 is shipped in 1000 or 2000 lb FIBC’s type D, or in 50 lb paper bags.
Shelf life from date of production is approximately 12 months. The resin should be stored at temperatures under 30°C (86°F).
If the resin is stored improperly or for a longer period of time, an increase in viscosity and cloud point is possible.
