Fumaric Modified Rosin Ester
FILTREZ™ 521 is an alcohol soluble fumaric modified rosin ester. FILTREZ™ 521 is a high acid value, high softening point resin whose broad range of solubility and compatibility makes it an excellent choice in flexographic printing inks. Compatible with nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, shellac, polyamide resins and other film formers commonly used in printing inks and lacquer type coatings.

FILTREZ™ 521 is shipped in 1000 or 2000 lb FIBC’s type D, or in 50 lb paper bags.
Shelf life from date of production is approximately 12 months. The resin should be stored at temperatures under 30°C (86°F).
If the resin is stored improperly or for a longer period of time, an increase in viscosity and cloud point is possible.
