Blocked acid catalyst for metal deco
DECOTHERM™ 256 E is a blocked acid catalyst dissolved in propylene glycol esters. It is mainly used to catalyze the curing of polyester and melamine resins at elevated temperatures in metal decorating inks for 2-piece cans.
Recommend use
1 – 1.5% in the polyester / melamine ink system.

DECOTHERM™ 256 E can be available in drums or IBC’s.
Shelf life from date of production is typically 24 months.
The varnish should be stored at temperatures ideally between 10 and 30°C. The packaging should be kept tightly closed and stored in dry conditions.
An increase in viscosity is possible if the varnish is stored in wrong conditions or for an extended period of time.
