Lawter Receives Environmental, Health & Safety Facility Excellence Award
Chicago, IL.–The Pine Chemicals Association (PCA) has selected Lawter’s plant in Baxley, Ga. to receive the 2016 Environmental, Health & Safety Facility Excellence Award.
The award was presented during PCA’s Annual Spring Meeting, which took place April 19-21 in Orlando, FL. Lawter officials were on hand for the ceremony to receive the award.
“It’s an honor to be recognized for something we hold very closely as part of our mission,” said Site Manager James Hallman. “Lawter is dedicated to maintaining high standards, and we are extremely proud to be recognized for that commitment.”
The Environmental, Health & Safety Facility Excellence Award recognizes excellence in environmental, health and safety among member companies. The PCA awards program honors both individual and facility efforts to protect the environment or prevent accidents and illnesses through hazard identification and control. Plants and facilities committed to these initiatives, especially those which have implemented new prevention programs to protect the environment or identify and control workplace hazards, receive the Excellence Award.
